Frequently Asked Questions
Is Beta Alpha Psi a fraternity?
While we at Beta Alpha Psi are proud of our close network of alumni and current members, Beta Alpha Psi is not a fraternity, but an accounting honor society.
Can I attend events if I am not a member?
Yes, UCLA undergraduate students can attend events that are open to the public. Please check our events page to find out if an event is open to the public. Generally, community service, socials, and mentorship team events are not open to non-members.
What if I signed up for an event and cannot attend anymore?
Members must give a 24-hour notice of cancellation by emailing our VP of Compliance at firstname.lastname@example.org with your name, UCLA ID, and event. For Fall Resume Workshop, members must give a 48-hour notice of cancellation.

When can I join Beta Alpha Psi?
Beta Alpha Psi takes applications anytime throughout the year. There is no rushing process. Once you submit your application, it will be reviewed by the Executive Board to ensure that you’ve met all academic requirements. You will then be emailed about the pledging process and member benefits.
What does the $130 application fee cover?
Do I need to be pursuing a career in accounting to join Beta Alpha Psi?
What is the difference between pledge and member?
A pledge is an undergraduate student who has paid membership fees and submitted a pledge application, but has not completed the required professional and community service hours. A member is an undergraduate student who has completed the pledging process and has been initiated at our annual spring initiation ceremony.
I have submitted my pledge application, but did not receive any response back. What should I do?
Please allow for a 1-week period for our Executive Board to get back to you. If this period has already passed, please make sure to check your spam folder for our emails! If you still did not receive a response, or have any urgent issues regarding your application, email our VP of Compliance at email@example.com.
